The incident occurred on Wednesday morning when armed attackers targeted a law enforcement forces’ patrol operating in Zahedan, in Sistan and Baluchestan province, as the unit was engaged in maintaining public security.
The attack led to the martyrdom of Sergeant Major Mohammad Reza Nezamdoost, while three other Police forces sustained injuries.
Efforts are underway to capture the attackers.
